MSA Receives 2018 Board Diversity Ambassador Award
PITTSBURGH, Nov. 21, 2018 - MSA has been recognized with the 2018 Board Diversity Ambassador Award at the 2020 Women on Boards National Conversation on Board Diversity. The award highlights MSA’s efforts to create a diversified board and for proactively taking steps to establish a strong female talent pipeline. “Both of these efforts have made an astonishing impact on the culture of MSA,” commented Nish Vartanian, MSA President and CEO, who accepted the award on behalf of the company.
MSA currently has 30 percent female representation on its Board of Directors. “I am proud to be leading an organization that is breaking barriers and embracing diversity. Moving forward, we must continue to challenge the status quo by welcoming a wide variety of perspectives and ideas, which will ultimately, I believe, enrich the performance of our company,” Mr. Vartanian said.
Most recently, MSA established the EDGE Women’s Leadership Program – a 12-month program focused on helping mid-level, high-potential women at MSA accelerate their professional and personal growth. Now in its second year, the EDGE Women’s Leadership Program prompted the promotion of more than 50 percent of its participants.
Our public relations department provides journalists and editors with press materials and information on safety-related topics, and also sets up interviews with MSA executives and product specialists.
