F.I.R.S.T. is an acronym for Fixed Instrument Repair & Service Training. This program is MSA’s certified maintenance and repair training program for Fixed Instruments. It is designed for MSA Representative Companies or large end user owners who need to be able to repair and maintain MSA fixed instruments and related equipment. The F.I.R.S.T. training program is intended for technicians who will be repairing, inspecting and testing fixed instruments on a regular basis. Registration for this program requires prior approval from MSA sales and service management. MSA F.I.R.S.T. Centers must receive authorization from MSA’s Regional and Corporate management and must comply with the following requirements: The above requirements will apply to the addition of any new MSA F.I.R.S.T. service center locations by a parent organization of an existing MSA F.I.R.S.T. service center. Course No. ZT-FIRST The F.I.R.S.T. training course is designed for technicians who will be repairing, inspecting and testing MSA fixed gas and flame detection instruments. Those who should attend are individuals who have been selected by their organization to become certified to repair MSA fixed instruments. Selected individuals will need to be employed by an MSA Representative Organization or by an end user organization that wishes to self-maintain a significant installation of MSA equipment.
